Arvo Pärt 90

On October 9, the House of Music and the Estonian Embassy in Budapest invite you to a unique art event. Dedicated to Arvo Pärt’s 90th birthday, the concert will feature the Era Nova Chamber Orchestra presenting an overwiev of the world-famous Estonian composer’s creative journey, from his early experimantal works to his most popular pieces in the tintinnabuli style. The concert begins at 7:30 p.m. and will be conducted by Gergely Gulyás and Péter Kemény.
Estonian guest performer Joonas Sildre will accompany the music with a live animation depicting Arvo Pärt’s personality and music. Sildre is the author of the graphic novel Between Two Sounds – Arvo Pärt’s Journey to His Musical Language, which is also available in English, published by the Arvo Pärt Centre.
The concert is supported by the Embassy of Estonia in Budapest.
